PROCESS:

1.)Form a group of three

Materials:

*PAPER

*COLOR PENCILS

*STRING (BLACK OR WHITE)

*HOLE PUNCHER

*PENCIL

*SCISSORS

*CLOTHES HANGER (one per group)

3.) Start on your project:

step 1: assign three planets to each member of your group

step 2: research on each of the three planets you are assigned to, find the order in which they are located from the sun (find the color and the location of your three planets.)

step 3: you and your partners must create and color your own three planets on a piece of paper, either you or one of your partners will also have to create the sun (the nine planets and sun will be needed to create the model of our solar system, be sure to create them neatly.)

step 4: once you are finished you will need to cut out each of the three planets you created then hole punch each of the planets (at the top)

step 5: have your teacher cut and give you a piece of string, then you will pull it through the hole at the top of the planet and then through the bottom part of the hanger,  tie a knot so that the planet will be hanging. (repeat this step to each planet)

step 6: make sure that each planet is in place (in order from the sun)

4.)Your group will then present your project to your classmates. (presentation will be graded by group and individually)
